This Valentine's Day, it's all about not going out and spending any money. Instead the challenge is to make things from what you have at home.
Have some felt? An endless supply of beads? Some Pipe Cleaners? Some glitter? Maybe some embroidery thread and a needle? Some good ole glue? Then you have the items for kids to make a bouquet of flowers.
Here is the link to some FREE stencils for you to print and cut out with your kids. If they are old enough to use scissors without supervision, then print out a couple of each stencil, give them the supplies and let them create you a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
If they are on the younger side, it's still a great idea and you can help with the cutting and "assist" but of course the flowers are probably for you so be sure to look surprised. Or better yet, if you have a younger child and an older child, let the older child help the younger child so you really will be surprised. It's a great way to get the kids working on something together. And who knows, you just might end up with two bouquets!
