To Begin Again

I know you have probably been wondering where I have been. First of all I apologize for not getting back on here sooner.

The truth of the matter is I got swamped, then behind, then overwhelmed, and finally frustrated.

It started with a case at work that was suppose to take 2 hours of my time a week. Those 2 hours turned into 2 days a week. It's an important case, but we weren't prepared for the amount of time it would take. Our normal week is 37.5 hours which quickly turned into 50 hours weeks. And you know once one thing gets out of sinc, everything else follows suit. Add to that the news that my soldiers are getting deployed in a year which means I had to kick my brain into high gear for that and you get the picture.

Two of my wonderful blogger friends, Becky from Nickels-N-Dimes and Katie from Cincinnati Cents both e-mailed me wanting to know if I was o.k. Bless their hearts.

First I got swamped, then I got behind, then I got overwhelmed, then came the nice little comment from the person telling me she "depends on me" to "faithfully" have my blog updated. Enter frustration and anger. Soooo, I did what I normally do when I get stessed.......yep.......I farmed. I spent night after night destressing by playing Farmville and Farmtown on Facebook. Hey.....what can I say....it's my therapy.

I love this blog and put a tremendous amount of time and energy into getting it off the ground and it is still not anywhere close to where I want it to be, but I do it because I love doing it and want to help people in these tough economic times. I love the fact that people read it but it's a little disheartening when people make some of the comments they do. I don't get paid a paycheck for this. Yes I am an affiliate for a couple of things, but in the year (14 months) I have been doing this, have received one check for $103 so I'm not making a fortune here. That wasn't my goal to begin with.

I checked my e-mail box and let me tell you that when I opened my e-mail inbox after almost 3 weeks of not having time to check it and saw I had over 10,000 e-mails, I almost fainted. It crashed my e-mail system so I had just start deleting them. If you sent me an e-mail and I didn't get back to you, that is why. I spent hours tonight going through e-mails and deleting more just to get the final dump done. I don't even want to think about all of the surveys I've missed. Boo Hiss Boo Hiss.

So.....with all that said......if you've had the patience to read this and have an understanding bone in your body, then I ask that you give me a couple of days to get this going again. There will continue to be times when it is difficult for me to blog, but I will make every effort to bring you as much information as I can. The goal of my blog was to help you save and/or earn a "Buck-A-Day". If you're still willing to follow, then I'd like to get back to doing just that.
