AER (Army Emergency Relief)

If you or your Army soldier has ever been Active Duty then you/they probably already know about the AER (Army Emergency Relief) group. But did you know it applies to National Guard soldiers as well. If you are a National Guard soldier who has been on active duty for 30 days or more, are on active duty for training (ADT) and certain section of Title 10, then you and your dependents qualify for Army Emergency Relief.

AER provides emergency fiancial assistance for things like rent, utilities, food, medical expenses, transportation, vehicle repair, etc. They offer interest free loans, grants if the loan would cause and undue hardship and part loan/part grant assistance.

It's a great resource to keep on your list for that unexpected financial disaster (we've all had them.) They have a very user friendly website. Go here to visit the site and I will add it to my Military Resources Page.
